Edgar Huerta was born in Manzanillo, Colima, Mexico, located on the Pacific Ocean. he was given the award of "The Child Painter" at the age of 11 by the actual Senator of Mexico City Rogelio Rueda Sanchez in 1992. The visual artist studied at the University of Fine Arts in Colima, Mexico. He lived in Manzanillo, Mexico for 25 years before moving to the United States. He had his first art exhibition at the age of 11. His art work is inspired by color, textures, and his Mexican heritage, by using models who wear wearable art and jewelry inspired by his work on canvas, he creates "living" paintings that engage viewers in a dynamic way by interacting with them. The combination of media provides a comprehensive portrait of each message that encourages viewers to understand it on different levels. He has exhibited his Art work and mixed media projects throughout Mexico and in major cities in United States like Los Angeles, Long Beach, San Francisco,Denver, Tucson and Phoenix Arizona. Recently the Mayor of Manzanillo, Mexico Nabor Ochoa Lopez will bring Huerta's Art show to Manzanillo and Colima Mexico in March 2012 in a tour titled "ImaginART"
